| Post Season |

A new season is fast approaching but we always remember where we have come from. We came from the bowels of Northrop we loved so much to new fresh turf of the new stadium but we will miss but always remember our wise seniors who have moved on to try their skillz in the real world: BLAZE! aka. Jessica Oster: G-face (the Mighty Oak) (Chad) aka. Neal Slattery: |
| Sorry it's been so long! |
Ok, so I think it is time for an update! Well, we've been at the stadium for a while now, and it's a lot of fun! The Indoor concert is coming up and I think you all want tickets! So here's the website: It's a good idea to get them early. For now this is short and sweet... But I have to do homework instead of edit this beast all day. :) --TheStranger |
| Sad Day |
Ok, so Tempe part III didn't quite go as according to plan. ESPN and CBS had us set to win by 4, but in the end we ended up one behind. BOO, however, still a valiant effort put forth by our esteemed gophers, keeping ISU from scoring the entire second half. There was also some pretty cool things that happened, between twenty-three of us 27.5 pounds of meat was eaten at the HEART ATTACK GRILL. A four-mile stretch of dust cloud was created in the third run of pregame the second day of practice. And, the best thing ever... NO TUBA PLAYERS WERE DAMAGED IN THE MAKING OF THIS BOWL GAME! Have a fun rest of winter break guys, see you at pepband. stay tuned, |

| Tempe Part III |
Ok, so Tempe again. Dec 29, 2009 - Jan 1, 2010 Here are some things you need to know:
| We're Going To Tempe! |
The word is out. We're heading over to Tempe, Arizona to take on the University of Kansas Jayhawks in the Insight Bowl! The marching band will be heading over to Tempe sometime on the 29th and will be returning on the 1st. We will be performing a shortened pregame and our half time show will contain the mound of sound, and a little something that I'm sure you all will remember. I'd like to welcome any KU Marching Jayhawks to come say hi on our forum! |
| Farewell Dome |
And so our time at the dome has come to an end. After 27 years, we have decided to move outdoors again. The band will enjoy a full time house for the first time in its history. The band, formed in 1892, performed its first "show" in 1910. Among other formations in the first show, was the block M. Our last game was filled with excitement, anticipation, and nostalgia as we looked back over many memories from the teflon sky. |
| Band Parents Day 2008! |
Reminder to everyone! Band Parents Day is this Saturday September 20, 2008. I hope to see your smiling faces at 6AM supporting your bandos (AM == Morning!)! Here's the official schedule for the day:
See you all there! |
| SPAT CAMP! |
Hey folks! For the rookies, the path down spat camp began two days ago. For the leadership, even further back. For the vets, we start up tomorrow and get to finally meet our new rookie class. Make sure to come check us out at the state fair on Sunday. We are scheduled to step off at 2:00 PM from by the haunted mansion and will end with a set near where we began. Send in any pictures you would like posted to webmaster@tuba69.com! |
| New Tuba Site! |
It seems like an annual tradition now, but this is the new Tuba69 website! I hope you all are enjoying your summer and plan on joining the Pride as we march through Delano, MN. We will be stepping off at 10:30 am and will be done around 11:30 am. Be there or be square! As usual, updates will be on the way to the site. Among those should be a pretty good system for everyone to pitch in and document the tuba section's adventures and accomplishments. Stay tooned everyone! |
